to installing some things.

SACHS coilovers on the FR-Slow!

Overall I’m very happy with the new suspension. The car is noticeably stiffer than stock, but the ride is definitely improved. Took it to the first autox of the year yesterday, and the car felt much more balanced and handled weight transition in corners significantly better.

I would like the ride height to be a bit lower, about 1/2-1". The fronts are actually maxed out as low as they’ll go, but the stock spring perches add in a good amount of height over an aftermarket spring perch. Hoping to get this sorted out pretty soon.

Looking forward to the first track day with it next month!

Are you sure about the perches? My read was that the stock ones are about as low as you can get. All of the aftermarket ones, save for maybe Ground
Control (whose design I think is dangerous) actually raise the front end a little over stock.

I think you’re thinking about the top hats/camber plates. The spring perch is higher than every aftermarket one I’ve seen.

Yep, and unfortunately Racecomp doesn’t make spring perches for their camber plates. I’ll have to ask them if they have any suggestions.

Stock ARBs and endlinks.

I’m evaluating what I wanna do in terms of additional suspension upgrades. Should have a better idea after the next event.

What’s the purpose to the lower control arms? Reducing unsprung mass? Just better mounting points?
